"The opposition isn't necessarily afraid at this juncture" said Tufts, "but we can change that with a win on the road against Cran."

Cranbury has proven to be tougher to beat at home than the Packers at Lambeau Field in the playoffs. Sporting a tidy 21-0 home record, they exemplify dominance in the New England Team Challenge series over the long-term. While Team Maine heads into Cran with a 1-3 road record in A-pool play, their confidence is at a new high.
"The bulletin board material writes itself in this case," noted Head Coach Jason Toothaker, "if people look at the numbers and see a 'David versus Goliath' scenario, it just plays into our hands."
While it is technically only one match, it will serve to catalyze a finals run, should Maine pull off the upset. "We get this and we've got it all," said Tufts, "with only the cup to bring back to Maine in April."
The team will be making the 4-and-a-half hour trip to Norwalk, CT on Thursday night and Friday morning, using Friday 12/6 as a training day on the opponent's course.
