Team Maine Heads to Pyramids DGC to Face Central Worcester Saturday

Team Maine plays its first of 2 consecutive road matches on Saturday, November 9th against team Central Worcester (cW) at Pyramids Disc Golf Course in Leicester Massachusetts.  Maine has, since their 21.5-6.5 stomping of rival NASA, picked up Maine disc golf legend and former Farm Team member Ben Dunlap.  Although cW romped through the B-Pool with an impressive 6-1 record in 2012-13 and has a roster featuring Nick Economos, Stephen Economos, Gary Cyr, Troy Manni and Dennis Parslow, Maine is still favored by many to win its first road match since February 12th, 2012 when it routed the Dam Team 21-7 at Tully Lake DGC in Athol, MA while in the B-Pool.

"We have a roster to be feared," stated Head Coach Jason Toothaker in a statement issued Friday, "The teams we are playing have great talent, but I think the depth of talent on Team Maine has improved from last year.  Our goal is to win the Cup, and I think we are all in the right frame of mind to make that happen.  We need this win against cW."

The Pyramids Disc Golf Course is home to Marshall Street Disc Golf, one of the larger online disc stores in the country.  Set near the Worcester Regional Airport, the mostly-wooded and quirky course was established in 1988 by Jason Southwick.  "Our opponents have logged thousands of rounds at this course," added Toothaker, "it's a mistake to underestimate anyone at their home course--especially these guys."

Toothaker predicted a victory in which Maine would win 57 percent of available points.
